Richard D. Talbert graduated with honors from Texas A&M in 1979 with a degree in Accounting, while working part-time doing title examinations for a local title company. He subsequently entered Baylor Law School, where he was the recipient of the Lawyer’s Co-Operative Publishing/Bancroft Whitney award as the Outstanding Student in Trusts and Estate Planning. After graduating from Baylor Law School in 1982, he entered into private practice. He started his own practice in 1986 with emphasis on estate planning, business and real estate transactions. In 1988 he also became a licensed CPA (certified public accountant) while still practicing law.
His practice and experience has been broad and extensive in the transaction field of law, which he believes is important in the estate planning field. He has handled transactions ranging from multi-million dollar apartment development and financing transactions to helping numerous families with there own personal estate planning process.
